Kimberly K. Wilson has dedicated the past 20+ years to developing and executing marketing campaigns in entertainment, sports and media.
An expert marketing strategist, Kimberly has a track record of driving growth for Fortune 500 companies in the linear, audio, and streaming content space. She has spent her career at the forefront of innovation across content distribution and brand marketing. In her most recent role as Senior Vice President, Brand and Consumer Marketing for SiriusXM + Pandora, she led brand marketing strategy and growth for its portfolio of audio platforms.
Prior to joining SiriusXM, Kimberly spent 16 years at The Walt Disney Company in various marketing leadership roles, where she offered guidance and established strategic direction for driving fan engagement, customer acquisition, retention and subscriber revenue for Disney’s content portfolio including ESPN, Disney Channel, FX, Nat Geo, Marvel, Pixar and ABC.
As the former Director of Marketing for Clear Channel Radio New Orleans (now iHeart Radio), Kimberly led the development and execution of all marketing, promotions, and community affairs efforts for seven diverse radio stations from hip hop to gospel, classic rock and country. She began her media career as Distribution Sales Manager for BET Networks/Viacom where she was responsible for increasing distribution of BET’s suite of linear and digital networks.
Kimberly is a thought leader in her space. She has been featured in several publications from Forbes to Adweek. She has offered her strategic insight on topics like leadership, marketing strategy, organizational design and mentorship for several high-profile industry events including Black Enterprise Women of Power Summit, Brand Innovators, The Female Quotient, and AfroTech.
While Kimberly has had a storied career in the entertainment industry, her proudest accomplishment is her humanitarian work including serving as a mentor with Brown Girls Dream and Next Gen Femme. She’s also a member of the board for St. Joseph Center and Columbia College Alumni Association.
With two degrees under her belt, Kimberly earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Columbia College Chicago and a Master’s Degree in Integrated Marketing from Roosevelt University. She is a proud and active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and a voting member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
The Music Industry Advisory Board aims to ensure that students have access to a diverse set of successful music professionals, so they are aware that there is more to the industry beyond being on the main stage. Our mission is to close the gap for the next generation of music industry professionals to create a more inclusive and diverse future.
