Grades PreK-5

Bring general music to your elementary school for all students to discover and create music.

The Save The Music Intro To Music Grant program includes everything an elementary music teacher needs to provide Pre-K to 5th grade students with sequential, standards-based general music instruction focused on active music making and foundational musical skills.

The grant package includes $26,700 worth of developmentally appropriate instruments and engaging resources, including an acoustic guitar, digital piano, Orff instruments, world drums, recorders, concert ukuleles, hand-held percussion, classroom method books, and program services.

To receive an Intro to Music Grant, districts must commit to funding and hiring a certified music teacher, schedule general music class during the regular school day, provide a dedicated classroom space for music, and budget for the music program’s maintenance and supplies. The Foundation maintains a partnership with the district until music is in place at every eligible school.
